ARTIST STATEMENT

I was born in Hayes in 1964 and lived in Pinner, Middlesex before moving to Leicester with my family in 1974.

It Whilst I attended Manor High School, Oadby that my interest in Art and Design became apparent. My Tutor David Easton encouraged me to experiment with different mediums, such as Screen Printing, Acrylics and Oil Pastels which I hadn’t used before.

David Easton left Manor High to concentrate on his own Art career, and is now one of this country’s fore most Artists. My major Artistic influences are David Hockney, Paul Klee, Winslow Homer and up and coming Artists, such as Dinah Dufton, Matthew Lindop and Katharine Lang amongst others.

Like Hockney, I am interested in using different styles and mediums, like Paints, Oil Pastels, Collage, and Photography to produce original one off images.
